What can you tell me about Afghanistan?

I am with 3rd Bn 6th Marine Reg. and we believe our next deployment will be to Afghanistan. You know the saying "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer" well I need a ton of info about Afghan so if you have ever been there for business or pleasure or you are a citizen or former citizen, I need to know all the info I can get. If you have been deployed there I don't want to hear it sucks, I know it sucks, so did Iraq. I need to know more about them and their tactics and what to expect.
