Pendulum method, advice, and usage?

I have answered a similar question like this before. A pendulum is an ancient device used by our ancestors to predict the uality of a baby to be born to a pregnant mom. A simple version is to get a sharpened pencil and prick the center of its eraser end with a needle and a short thread. Next, using the right hand, the device is suspended over the left wrist (where the pulse is located). For some unknown reasons, the device will begin to swing. A side-wise swing means a baby boy and an upward and downward swing means a baby girl. If after the swing, the device begins to rotate in a circular motion and then starts to swing again, chances are that the woman performing the ritual could have more than just a single baby.
