I wanna farm is there a set acres that I need to do so?

My fiancee and I have to decide to build a per fab house in the next year or so after the wedding. I've done my research and pre fab house cost anywhere from 30,000 to 200,000 and there just as strong as normal houses are only cheaper. Anyways I always want horses and pigs and chickens. Not a lot just a few animals so we have a small farm of our own. Are there guidelines to how many acres we need to have a farm? And how would I find out if there is or isn't in my state or county?
