Did Liberals condone Sadaam's treachery among the Iraqi's and Kurds?

It seems to me they forget the atrocities Sadaam commited on the Shia and Kurdish population. Whenever I hear a liberal saying we shouldn't have helped them it sickens me. It makes me think being a liberal is about only doing good if it makes you look good. Not because it's the right thing to do even in the face of adversity.
