Was it right for the united nations to go into war with the excuse of Gadaff dropping bombs on his people?

The BBC and al jazeera reported that Ghaddafi was dropping bombs on people in certain locations. Russia today checked this out using satellite imagery and found it out to be a complete lie. So it looks just like afghanistan the basis for invasion was a lie-a gulf of tonkin false flag. Should the people of the world demand to see 100% proof for this invasion?
